Hello everyone,
I was looking over Momma’s Old School Burgers. I visited the earlier comics, seeing the foundation of the story I’ve been trying to tell.
What I noticed was the art. I am far from the great artist I hope to be, but I can see my progress.
The difference in quality from 2020 to 2023 was stark. I could see how the lines, shading, and coloring had improved. Character poses were more diverse. The background coloring was enhanced. And so on.
You must acknowledge your progress. I have seen my writing, weight lifting, attitude, and drawing improve over the years.
If I failed to see my progress, I would rob myself of a needed component of self-improvement: gratitude.
Be grateful for everything you’re doing. You should feel good about how far you have come. You can do great things. All you have to do is forgo comfort.
Inspiration can be faulty. Discipline is a more reliable tool for keeping yourself going. But there are times when you can and should inspire yourself.
Nothing is more powerful than saying, “Look how far I have come.”

Pikmin 4
It took a relatively long time, but I finally bought a Switch. I’ve been a big fan of Nintendo since I was a kid, so I’ve always wanted their most recent gaming system.
However, budget and monetary concerns held me back. Until Pikmin 4 came out.
Pikin 1 and 2 were my favorite games on the Gamecube. I played them religiously. I grew up and sold the Gamecube and Pikmin games. I figured I’d never play them again.
Then I saw that Nintendo was releasing them on the Switch, so I naturally had my reason to buy the game systems and the games.
Overall, the Switch is fantastic. I know I am late to the party, but I, like everyone else, have indulgences. Gaming has always been my vice of choice, and I think I’ve invested dramatically in my all-time hobby.
