Hello everyone,
Recently, I debated various social and personal issues with coworkers. They all had the exact “solution” to each problem: more government. They did not conceive that issues such as abortion or poverty could be alleviated by individual responsibility.
I wish to be angry but shouldn’t. I live in a society of broken men. Regardless of your opinion on different social and personal issues, one thing is always true: things do not get resolved unless individuals take more responsibility for themselves.
You cannot have a beautiful forest with dead trees. Society cannot function if individuals are not strong. Government, by its very nature, takes away power from individuals. And if individuals do not have dominion over their lives, they become dependent, weak, and frail.
So, if you find yourself floored by ignorance and, frankly, the stupidity of weak individuals, you have to accept that nothing short of a miracle will turn them around. In the meantime, focus on strengthening yourself, building your community, and pursuing virtue.
You have one life. Let’s not waste it on the weak.
Become An Individual
They Lie To Themselves - You must always understand that people do not believe in something because they genuinely care. They believe in whatever justifies their hedonism, arrogance, and entitlement. That’s all. Once you grasp that people lie to themselves to justify their vices, you can approach weak individuals with a clearer mind.
How To Stop Lying To Yourself - Do you want to avoid becoming another NPC, parroting the talking points of the ruling classes and elites? Then, you must be honest with yourself. The more honest you are about your faults, goals, and responsibilities, the stronger you can become.
Become A Polymath
Here are some great videos I’ve consumed over the past week. They’re primarily intellectual, but I threw in more funny videos:

Momma’s Old School Burgers
Complex, layered characters are at the heart of Momma’s Old School Burgers. They have made mistakes and are deeply flawed. But unlike other weak individuals, they will take the time to repair the damage they’ve done.
