Have you ever wondered why some people hide behind group identities instead of standing tall as individuals? In this thought-provoking post, I explore the allure of collectivism and its impact on personal success.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll discover:
The Definition of Collectivism: Understand how collectivism subjugates individual thought and action.
Avoiding Responsibility: Learn why weak individuals embrace collective identities to justify their failures.
The Lure of Free Resources: Explore how collectivists use group identity to gain unearned benefits.
Debating Collectivists: Strategies for standing your ground in a collectivist society.
Building Virtuous Communities: How to foster individualism within a supportive, like-minded group.
Don't miss out on this powerful exploration of why individualism is essential for personal growth and success.

Become A Polymath: Business Thoughts
Hobbies to Business
I never thought that my hobbies could be turned into a business. But for the past few months, I’ve made all this “official.”
Currently, I make no profit, but my overhead is nonexistent. Outside of the various tools I use, I only spend a few hundred dollars a month on my business, and that’s more than sustainable.
I’m working on updating my monthly budget to set aside money to purchase more tools. I would like to upgrade my computer, purchase a few drawing classes, and buy more tools, including a new Wacom tablet.
Legal Matters
If you want to build something of your own, the legal things are important. I’m woefully ignorant of the process, but I’ve increased my knowledge. These are just general things I’ve done that you may want to consider:
Forming an LLC and what that looks like in your state
Creating a business plan to help you solidify what you’re doing
Look at a marketing plan to gain a deeper understanding of how you will promote yourself/your business
Trademarks and copyrights are crucial
I also suggest using AI to help you formulate these items. AI is a great research tool that can help answer questions or clarify your thinking. You should be good if you treat it as a tool, not the driver.
Thinking About The Blog
Admittedly, my blog becomes a smaller portion of my creative output as I look ahead. However, I will keep the blog and the newsletter for three reasons:
The blog/newsletter can funnel readers to other works I am creating
I know I can inspire people with my writing
Working on the blog and newsletter disciplines me
I wanted to make certain add-ons, such as audio recordings of my newsletter and blog posts, available. But I recognize I wouldn’t be motivated to maintain this addition.
What I’m learning is how to cut the fat. Not every idea needs to be pursued or make a profit. Sometimes, the practice and discipline nurtured are worth the costs.
Future Projects
The future looks bright. Next year, I would like to launch a YouTube channel to promote my ideas further and build hype around the creative projects I’m working on.
I also want to upgrade this newsletter to cover every project I have, ensuring people know that I don’t just talk about Become An Individual here.
Thanks for reading my ramblings. I aim to share my thoughts and actions to inspire others to pursue their dreams. I don’t want to present a finished product. I aim to show the setbacks, failings, and mindset needed to become committed to one’s goals.

Goals For Next Year
My goal is to post three days a week early next year. The comics will be shortened, but they will be updated more frequently.
I also noticed that the site takes a rather long time to load. I can offset this by posting smaller comics and displaying them in chunks, similar to what I did on 257) Michelle Wakes Up.
Hopefully, this will help attract and retain readers. I’ll continue to do what I can to improve, no matter how many people are watching.
