What Political Violence Reveals About Individuals
As everyone heard, Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt. Even me, someone removed from politics, had heard about this news on a gaming channel.
Although it was good that Trump survived, two people are in critical condition (the last time I checked), and one father, Corey Comperatore, was killed. Corey Comperatore was a fire marshall, an all-around good man, and died shielding his wife and daughter from the gunfire.
The assassination attempt has revealed the sickness in the mind of many political commentators. Very few meltdowns have been as extensive as the one performed by Destiny.
Destiny’s Immaturity
Destiny is a streamer known for his leftist views. He went on multiple unhinged rants, justifying the assassination attempt of Donald Trump and the death of Corey Comperatore.
Destiny’s response was despicable and pathetic. I’m glad he’s been removed from platforms, and I hope this event continues to damage his career. The world would be better if he had no platform to speak from.
I had to take a few moments to consider Destiny’s meltdown. At first, I bought into his logic: he thinks Trump is a fascist, and anyone who supports a fascist is a traitor to the country deserving of death. He, of course, would never carry this verdict out personally. He is a limp-wristed, weak man. He couldn’t physically dominate a tenth-grader. But he is happy to celebrate when other deranged lunatics do the killing for him.
The Deeper Reason People Like Destiny Celebrate The Deaths of Others
Destiny is a loser, and his anger towards Corey Comperatore is because Corey is a better man.
Destiny has two failed marriages and multiple flings under his belt. He can’t hold down a stable relationship for long. He is an absentee father who would have preferred to abort his son. Destiny is physically weak and has a career where he argues online, far removed from any physical challenge or threats.
At the heart of Destiny’s and others' anger is an insecurity: He will never be a good father, husband, or competent leader like Corey. He doesn’t have the skill, strength, or willpower to be a fire marshall, saving countless lives and leading others to do the same. And when it counts the most, he will not sacrifice his life to protect those he loves.
So, he lashes out. He sees Trump as a dictator to justify his hatred of people who are better than him. Biden, Obama, Bush, and other presidents have done similar heinous acts, such as starting wars that have led to the deaths of millions. Sure, legal immunity is a concern, but is it any less ridiculous than starting a trillion-dollar war illegally?
Destiny and others like him need to feel they are better than others. So, they base their morality on who they vote for, not how they control their whims or follow virtue. Voting is a meaningless act that requires no standards except age. But, you can’t phone in being a good father or a good husband. These character qualities require consistent effort, time, and energy. And such effort Destiny cannot provide.
He is pathetic, and he knows it.
What This Teaches Us
I recently ended a friendship over this situation. The person I knew agreed with Destiny’s take. I reminded my ex-friend that the fire marshall is a better man than he’ll ever be, and I ended our friendship.
I don’t want to spend time around monsters who justify the killing of innocents, especially through flimsy calls of fascism or communism. And I have no desire to be around weak individuals whose insecurities lead them to justify the deaths of virtuous people.
I don’t care about Trump. But I know that virtue is immortal and consistent, whereas politics is limited and exploitative.
Get weak individuals out of your life. If they justified the lockdowns, then cut them out. If they justified the riots, then cut them loose. If they justify the death of an innocent man, then seek better friends.
Be stronger and have confidence that you can find good people who will disagree with you but won’t justify your suffering or pain.
